Our Services| Transport to support independent living

We provide a range of the range of travel solutions for people in our community who can't access their own or public transport for a variety of reasons. The services we  offer include:

  • Bespoke transport. Door-to-door, pre-booked, affordable travel by car or minibus to attend a range of medical and other essential appointments, social and wellbeing activities, shopping trips or to visit a friend or relative.
  • Trips. Outings are arranged monthly, often to places like garden centres around the county, where lunch and pleasant surroundings can be enjoyed, as well as a little shopping. Life would be quite isolating for a number of our passengers without this opportunity and these trips are highly valued, especially the chance to have a good old chat. We also support residential homes with transport for their outings.
  • Contracted services. These vary over time but are al community-based and include transporting people to and from activity centres, such as the  Odell Centre in Kidderminster. We also provide transport to and from respite care as required.

Community Bus Routes

We run three registered hopper bus routes: the No. 12 Kidderminster to Franche-Ferndale, the No. 213 Stourport to Astley Burf and No. 7a Kidderminster-Offmore Road.

Personal/Group Hire

Our minibuses can be available for hire by individuals or groups with their own appropriately licenced and qualified volunteer drivers. Part of our charitable aim is to assist other charities and community organisations to deliver their services by providing easy to use, value for money transport solutions. Please contact our office for further information on 01562 755084 (Please note this service is currently under review).

Our Vehicles

We currently have eight minibuses, seating up to a maximum of 11 passengers and they are all wheelchair-accessible, allowing dignified and comfortable travel for passengers seated in their own wheelchairs. They are used to take passengers to a variety of venues and activities, including shopping trips, day centres and lunch clubs.  Our minibus drivers are trained in Wheelchair Securing and Emergency Fire Evacuation and all our vehicles are fully serviced and sent for regular safety inspections. Our volunteers always check the vehicles are roadworthy before setting off and we ensure they are always clean.

Need our services?

If you or someone you care for needs our services, please call us on 01562 755084 Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 12:30 or simply complete the Passenger Registration Form on the Become a Passenger page. We reimburse our drivers for the running costs of their vehicles and they volunteer whatever time they can offer.
